Studio Upgrade

Brittaney Fortwendel

Brittaney’s Pilates journey began in her mother’s Pilates studio in Lafayette Indiana. Brittaney had the unique opportunity to learn from many talented Pilates, Yoga, and Personal trainers from a very young age. In 2006 Brittaney earned her certified personal training certification. Followed by completing her first Pilates education course in 2007 and began teaching in her mother’s studio. In 2010 & 2011 Brittaney participated as a trainer in the New Year’s Resolution Reality show - a local weightloss reality show in Tippecanoe County featured on WLFI & online.

Brittaney’s son was born in 2012 and would spark a shift in educational focus towards whole body wellness, pain management, and chronic disease and illness. Recovery from pregnancy and delivery was an eye opening event that fueled a new passion.

In July of 2014 Brittaney relocated to Zionsville Indiana to begin working for a corporate health club in developing their Pilates program.

In January 2020 Brittaney married her husband (Nate). Shortly after Covid-19 shut down health clubs and allowed for a re-evaluation time.

In July 2020 Brittaney and Nate opened Studio Upgrade | Pilates Inspired Wellness. The vision for this studio was to create a safe space for all to practice movement inspired by the Pilates principles.

Our newest family member, Elise, was born October 2022. The whole family can be found in the studio at one time or another. Studio Upgrade is truly a labor of love and our whole family is passionate about providing the Studio Upgrade community a warm, welcoming experience every time you visit.

Donna Richardson

Donna began her fitness journey in 1999 as she became familiar with strength training, cardio, and step aerobic classes.

By 2006 her family joined her as members of a larger family centered corporate gym. Her family enjoyed spending time developing their foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

Drawing on the foundation of fitness, Donna met some friends who enjoyed distance running, hiking, biking, and stair climbs. Through these activities she learned how to plan and train to reach goals and accomplish difficult tasks.

In 2012 Donna was preparing for a couple of major undertakings and started with a personal trainer to prepare for the events. Training with a professional introduced Donna to the value of having a relationship with a trained professional in health and fitness.

Looking for a balance to her intense physical activity Donna began taking Pilates in 2014 and yoga 2015. Both practices have become integral to her health and fitness journey.

Wanting to expand and deepen her yoga practice, Donna enrolled in a 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga training in 2022 and realized her desire to teach. Completing Studio Upgrade Lvl 1 and apprenticing with Studio Upgrade. Donna is excited to share her philosophy of healthy movement for life inspired by Joseph Pilates.

“We retire to early, and we die to young, Our prime of life should be in the 70’s and old age shouldn’t happen until nearly 100” - Joseph Pilates
